Frequently Asked Questions

Everything about coverage, data, pricing and the app. Something missing? Ask us directly.

Is EVcoder free to use?
Yes. VIN decoding, part number lookup and parts catalog browsing are free, on web and in the app. No signup is required for basic lookups.
Which vehicles does EVcoder cover?
82 brand lines and 2.4M+ parts, with special depth in Chinese EV brands — BYD, Wuling, AITO, Zeekr, XPeng, NIO, Li Auto, Deepal, Leapmotor and many more — down to trim and model-year level.
Can I identify a part with only the car and no part number?
Yes. Enter the VIN or browse brand → model → trim, then navigate by system — battery, motor, thermal, charging, body — to find the part and its part number.
Why does the same BYD car have two names?
Chinese makers often sell one car under different names: the Yuan PLUS (Yuan PLUS) is exported as the Atto 3. EVcoder indexes both names so either search reaches the same parts data. Buyers sourcing via 1688 or WeChat suppliers often know the Chinese name — both are covered.
Do charging parts differ between China and export markets?
Yes. China-market vehicles use GB/T ports while export vehicles often use CCS2/CCS1. On-board chargers and inlet assemblies are market-specific — one more reason VIN-based lookup matters for charging system parts.
How current is the data?
The catalog is updated daily as manufacturers release new models, trims and part numbers.
Can I request quotes for parts I find?
Yes. In the app, any identified part can be sent as a quote request to verified EV parts suppliers — send one request, compare offers.
Something is wrong in the data — how do I fix it?
Report it via the contact form or in-app. Fitment corrections are prioritized because wrong data hurts everyone.
Does EVcoder sell parts?
No. EVcoder is a data and identification platform. We connect you with independent verified suppliers so you can compare offers — we don't mark up parts.
Which languages are supported?
English is available worldwide, and Russian, Arabic, French, Uzbek and Turkish versions are live on the site.
